"Chicken-Like Salad"


 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups garbanzo beans [drained and rinsed]
  • 3 Tbs. chicken-style seasoning
  • 2 Tbs. Bragg’s Liquid Amino® [soy sauce]
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 cups gluten flour

Steps

  • Place garbanzo beans in a blender and add enough water to cover them.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Add the chicken-style seasoning, Bragg’s®, garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Blend well.
  • Pour liquid in bowl, adding 1 cup of gluten flour at a time, working the flour in well.
  • Form into a loaf, and put into an oiled bread pan and cover with foil.
  • Place loaf pan in shallow pan of water and place in oven.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. When cool, put through food processor set on grate.
  • Can be frozen at this stage.
  • Add soy mayonnaise, celery, olives, etc. Tastes so good you won’t miss the chicken!
